Our coaching goal at The Ride Guides is to stoke your passion for riding and help you become a safer, more confident rider.
We teach a dynamic riding style at The Ride Guides so don’t expect to spend much time in the saddle at one of our sessions! Modern suspension provides a tremendous amount of potential energy and we’re keen to help you unlock that energy to explore new lines on the trail. We aren’t going to be coaching you on how to clear huge doubles but we will help you find more joy on the bike!
With decades of experience and a rider focused approach we guarantee that you’ll not only gather new skills and confidence but also have one of your best days yet on the trail.
From Yelp –
“I hugely enjoyed my four-hour “Lifts” Clinic with Dave Robinson of The Ride Guides. I’m not a natural athlete on a mountain bike, but that didn’t seem to matter to Dave. His show of certainty about my abilities–and his joy of teaching, had this 73 year old guy bouncing around a field, lifting wheels, and feeling just thrilled that I could have some fun on this clumbering machine with big wheels. I saw that he seemed to find out who each of us were, and then he did this Yoda-thing for her, for him, and for me. This was a day so well spent. Thanks, Dave.”

Our core offerings in 2020 include:
We also provide opportunities for private coaching when you can’t attend a clinic or wish to dive deeper into specific aspects of mountain biking. With a private session we can lead you through a standard skills progression or focus on specific techniques that you may want to develop.
If you want to elevate your entire crew’s game we can even schedule a private clinic for your group.
And talk about team building, why not get your work mates out for a day on the trail at one of our custom team building events!
All of our instructors are IMBA certified and hold Wilderness First Aid certifications to ensure that you’ll have the best care available out on the trail.
